At 34 years old, Jules Delpech is participating in his third season in the Figaro Beneteau this year. His involvement seems natural for someone who has been living his passion for the open sea for over 10 years.
Originally from Reunion Island, Jules started sailing at the age of six, tacking in an Optimist in the Indian Ocean. Naturally, his enthusiasm for racing quickly became a family affair, as his older brother Noé rapidly excelled, eventually participating in the Rio Olympics in 2016.
In 2011, his childhood friend Morgan Lagravière hired him as a preparer. Sailing, optimizing, ensuring reliability, and ferrying... With the strong teamwork spirit that characterizes him, Jules became one of the key players for the top offshore racing teams (Safran, Kaïros, Banque Populaire...). He knows racing boats inside out, and naturally, this sparked his desire for solo racing.
Now settled in Finistère, married, and a father of two daughters, Jules has been passionate about racing for 2 years and continues to progress and impress. Always smiling and focused, Jules appreciates doing things well and enjoys competition. Observers say he sails with a lot of daring, and he admits to taking great pleasure in it. There is no doubt that this skipper has all the cards in hand to perform exceptionally well this year.
