My first experience of sailing at the age of 9 was eventful to say the least. Thunder, lightning, a hail storm and the dinghy having tipped me out into the freezing summer waters of a reservoir… it was far from how I had pictured my first time sailing. Despite all this, I was hooked!
As my sailing progressed so did my passion for the sport. At the age of 12 I read Ellen MacArthur’s book and from that moment on I have dreamt of following in her footsteps.
In 2020, I embarked on a challenge beyond anything I had ever done, to sail solo around Britain at 15. When I completed the trip that October, all I wanted to do was keep going!
Through 2023 and beyond I want to learn as much as possible in the solo/double-handed racing scene, particularly with the Classe Figaro Beneteau. It is my ambition to have a career in professional offshore sailing.
