After his impressive fifth-place finish in the 2016-2017 Vendée Globe (first boat with a classic keel), Yann Eliès returns this year to the Solitaire Urgo – Le Figaro with strong ambitions. And for good reason, after his victories in 2012, 2013, and 2015, the sailor from Saint-Brieuc hopes to become the first skipper to have his name on the event's honor roll for the fourth time, as well as to achieve one or more new stage victories to further solidify his legacy in the race.

Currently tied with Jean Le Cam with an impressive ten stage wins, Yann hopes to take advantage of this 48th edition of the most demanding solo race with identical boats to stand out even more. With this goal in mind, Yann, who will be lining up for the start of this famous race for the 17th time in his career, can rely on his experience, perfect mastery of the boat, unwavering determination, and the support of Groupe Quéguiner, a specialist in construction materials, by his side since 2012.
